Here's what you can do to make your home less inviting to pests and insure that your pest treatment is most effective after our visit!!!
Place Splash Blocks Under Your Gutter's Downspouts- It is simple, insects and termites thrive in moist soil. Help create a barrier by directing water away from your home's foundation.
Be Sure All Cracks and Crevices Are Sealed- When MO Pest comes out to your home we will help you identify all intrusion prone areas during your FREE termite inspection and can assist in sealing them.
Seal Food In Air Tight Containers- The containers are readily available and are very cheap. Not only are you eliminating a food source for pests but you keep your family's food fresher longer.
Move Storage into Plastic Containers- Cardboard storage boxes are a breeding ground for roaches and nesting materials for rodents. These containers can be costly but are definitely worth the investment.
General Cleanliness- Be sure to wipe down counters and keep floors swept to remove food debris. Clean under your refrigerator and stove at least once a month. With more severe infestations increase frequency.
Clear Decaying Wood- Wood piles make great homes for many pests so locate them as far from your home as possible. It is best not to use wood mulch, but if you insist be sure to replace it every 2 years.
Use Yellow Outdoor Lighting- Replace any lamps using white bulbs to yellow bulbs. Yellow bulbs will attract fewer flying insects and the predators that feed on them.
We are glad to assist you in implementing these measures
